Writer Who Wants To Write Seeks Government Grant To Finish Book

by Diane
(Galesburg, IL, USA)

What I would wish and hope for is to change the course of my future. I am receiving disability income for chronic fatigue, depression and fibromyalgia.

My goal is to get off of disability, pay off credit card debts and judgments, improve the quality of my life and in turn be able to help others improve their lives.

I believe I can accomplish this by publishing a book that I am writing.

I began writing six years ago, but have been unable to finish my book. While I don’t profess to be an eloquent or gifted writer, I do believe that I have a great story and I would like the opportunity to submit to publishers.

Severe financial stress inhibits my ability to be creative and directly affects my health. Therefore, I have been unable to write for the last four years.

My life has been one of losses. I have endured the pain of no children, a failed marriage, jobs lost to restructuring or the economy, a company that closed and never paid me, the loss of my house to foreclosure, moving away from family, failure of my health and social isolation.

Through all these obstacles I have always remained hopeful. I believe, pray and dream of a better future. One that not only will allow me to change my life and reconcile past debts, but also one in which I’ll be able to help others.

I am not an addict. I don’t smoke, use drugs or buy any junk food and seldom drink. I’m not an impulse buyer.

I am financially unable to take proper care of my health. Grant money would give me a chance at a future. It would relieve stress and provide me with the opportunity to finish editing my book.

Thank you for any support and consideration.

I want to write a book!
by: debbie

This is a book I believe would capture interest: a VietNam veteran and outlaw biker turns his life around and becomes a valued defender of runaways and others. How do I get funds for this?
