Woman Seeking Disability Grant Money To Care For A Disabled Husband

I'm a woman seeking disability grant money to care for a disabled husband. We're both willing workers, and we don't want the disabilities to block us from doing all we can for ourselves.
I moved here from Canada 10 years ago to be married. My husband was a semi driver and is a US citizen. Three years after we were married he was rear-ended by another semi truck.
It is just the two us and our animals, no children or close family. Now almost seven years after the accident he suffers from a moderate traumatic brain injury, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and headaches and severe depression. He had back surgery two years ago for a herniated disc.
I have been trying my best to support us as best I can. I'm even trying to go to school and work and take care of him now.
However, my wages and the little he gets from Social Security Disability, just isn't enough in this economy. We have sold off everything possible to buy food and pay the mortgage.
We even had to give up our farm and move to town, which makes my husband worse as we are both country people and very claustrophobic in town.
We managed to get a land contract for a small house, but we're having problems keeping up. The person we have the land contract with claimed bankruptcy and told me I cannot be a day late with the house payment, taxes or insurance or they will take the house as part of her bankruptcy.
Our credit is bad from all the unpaid medical bills and the decreased income, which it makes it impossible for us to get a loan of any kind even with collateral. I have also not been able to get jobs because of it too.
All the doctors want to do is throw more medication at us and half the time we can't buy it because Medicare doesn't cover it or the doctor visit. I'm not sure what to do anymore. My husband has cognitive and memory problems, as well as anxiety and panic attacks.
If we were to get a grant, we would use it to pay bills, fix my car, fix the furnace, pay the past due taxes on the house and the mortgage. If there is some left maybe we could buy some food. We don't qualify for food stamps.
I am just worn out and don't know what to do anymore. My husband gets more depressed and blames himself. He is old-fashioned and believes the man should support the family.
He has too many restrictions and problems that they won't let him work at all and before the accident he was a workaholic.
We would so much appreciate some government grant money to help us both work the way we know we can.
