Veteran Seeks Government Grant To Help Pay Education Loan For Daughter

by Clarine Russell
(Alto, GA, USA)

Hello, my name is Clarine. I am a 100% service connected veteran. I am not here to boo the VA or anything.

I, how do I say this, made the mistake of trusting a daughter who was going to college. She said she needed loans and that the school mentioned Sallie Mae and tuition answer loans that are private.

We agreed that on her graduation, we would each pay half. Make a story short, she ended up quitting school, getting married and had a baby.

I love the baby. but not the school bill that is over $800 a month and the fact that I have no help in paying it.

This is a private problem I know. I am not seeking to get out of paying a bill, but trying to find a way of paying one.

Is a grant possible? Please let me know. I am drowning and have tried talking to Sallie Mae. Thanks Clarine.
