US Army Veteran Seeks Government Grant Or Loan For Truck Repairs

I have been honored to serve in the US Army for 21 years, retiring at 42. I'm now looking for some help to keep on contributing to society.

I have always worked a second job to cover all ends for my family. I am 20% partially disabled.

Recently, I invested my savings in an 18-wheeler truck and was doing very good. Then came the rain and the truck was in the repair shop about every other week.

Now I am at my rope's end. I'm so deep in debt, I can't see any way out of it without this truck running.

I have a need and desire to fix the truck and continue trucking as long as I can. Most people will say I'm stupid for investing in a truck, but this is the way I think.

I am 20% disabled, but I don't see it that way. I have the gout, which affects my feet, ankles, legs, and knees. I'm in constant pain, but I take nothing for it, only for the gout.

I want to repay every debt I owe. The Army taught me to stand straight and tall, and be an honest man. This is who I am.

I have two grown daughters, one in Germany and one in Ohio. I have recently re-married to a wonderful woman. We care for her sister, who is deaf and mute, and retarded.

She has more needs than you would think. We find a way to deliver. I am not asking for a handout, only some help from my country in my time of need.

I want to continue to be the brave man I always have been for my country and family.

The money is not so much. About $12,000 is all I need. I will repay it all. I don't want to let my family down and began to feel like a failure at my age of 62.
