Talented Disabled Artist Seeks Grant Money To Boost Art Business

by Timothy Jenkins
(Minneapolis, MN, USA)

Just a sample of my artwork

Just a sample of my artwork

I am a 43-year-old artist and have been drawing every since I can remember. I also have been disabled for as long as anyone can remember.

I have manic depression and also borderline personality disorder. I love people and also I love art. I love to draw so I put the two together.

I also have a hard time being on a timeline. I receive at most in the ballpark of $800 a month to pay for my rent as well as my other needs.

It makes it hard to buy supplies for my artwork. I also need to promote my work.

I cannot handle being on disability. I would rather make people happy through my artwork as well as make a living at it.

I think I have talent but my work is suffering because I do not have the time to devote to making it better.

I have always been attracted to older artist like Vargas and Rockwell and pay attention to details that make my drawings of you come alive.

But I do not feel alive living like this.

If only people could see my artwork I know that they would feel the same way I do.

I am not looking for a hand out but rather a person or persons that are willing to help me in my dream of making other people's lives better through the drawings I can do.

I know that I can make it if I can just get started. It is not just pencils and paper but also frames, a better computer with a good oversized printer for making iron-on for t-shirts.

Want your portrait on a t-shirt? Well now you can have both: a portrait in a frame as well as on a t-shirt!

That is what takes money and that is something I do not have. Thank you for reading my story and for any help that you may be able to give me.
