Struggling Veteran And Family Seek Government Grant For Debt Relief

by Jason D. Gaddis
(Lexington, Kentucky, USA)

My name is Jason Gaddis. I am 32 years old living in Lexington, Kentucky. I'm a Marine Corps veteran that served from 1996 to 2006.

I was medically discharged in February 2006 with a 90% rating. I suffered a (TBI) traumatic brain injury and a punctured left lung with most of my left side being shattered. My biggest battle has been learning how to deal with PTSD.

Michelle and I have a family of four kids. Both of us are working full-time jobs and still battle rising debt. We've been renting a house that is smaller that we need because we can't afford to buy a house.

I'm been working with a debt relief company but, still can't seem to get ahead. I've considered bankruptcy but if I were to do that I would lose my security clearance and therefore lose my job.

My family and friends have done their best to help us out. I hate asking for help but don't know what else to do.

We are just asking for help such as a grant to help us with our bills. If we can get help hopefully we can save some money, get back on our feet so maybe one day we will have a safe and healthy place to live that we can call our own.
