Stroke Disabled Woman Seeks Government Grant Money For Vehicle

by Brenda
(Northridge, USA)

Can you help me purchase a car? I don't want an expensive one. I'm on Disability and it doesn't pay that much, only rent and some food.

I had a stroke about seven years ago. I have tried getting a job but could not remember some things for the position, so I got fired.

I had two jobs and they both let me go, for the same reason. I love to work but am afraid they would let me go.

I have three children, 38, 31, and 27 years old. My 38 year old is severely handicapped. My husband and I took care of her until my husband died about six years ago.

I could not take care of her myself, so I found her a home not far from me. My other two children are both married and getting on with their lives, so I don't want to impose on them.

I live with someone who can't help me, so I'm on my own. It's hard to live. Getting a car would help me move around. Can you help me please?

By the way, I did write this by myself. My brain works, but not as it did before my stroke.

There is an organization that uses a yahoo group for most areas of the country. It is called freecycle. I believe the url is www.freecycle.org.

I have seen people in my area state why they need a car and ask if anyone has one they will give you. This is not just for cars. It is recycling of things one needs or don't need any more and they give items to someone who can use them. It is a fantastic organization!

Once you get on you will see what I am talking about.

Hope this helps.
God Bless.
