Soldier And Wife Seek Financial Aid For Debt Relief

by Marion Small
(Wilmer, Texas, USA)

My name is Marion Small and this is my story. I am 20 years old and I'm also in the military.

I got married to Briana Jordan in August of 2008. Two months later my wife and I got kicked out of the house for trying to protect my mother.

I then worked at FedEx making between $80 and $120 a week. We moved into a one-bedroom apartment in Wilmer, Texas away from all of our family.

In March 2009. I deployed overseas to Doha, Qatar for a year.

My wife and I tried to save money but she had to go to the hospital on numerous occasions because of her body.

The hospitals in Dallas didn't take Tri-care so that forced us to pay out of pocket.

After I came home two months ago God blessed us with a mobile home in Wilmer, Texas.

I got a job in Fort Worth, Texas working in a warehouse but it's too far for my 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis because it overheats when I drive it for long periods of time.

My wife owns a 200 Pontiac Grand Prix and we spent all of our money on a new transmission for her car.

To top it all off, we don't have furniture for our new home.

All those we thought were our friends really weren't. We try to ask them for help and they laugh at us.

I joined the military to be something in life but with so many trials that come in our path, it's hard on us because we are so young and we are trying to do the right thing.

I also wanted the money to help out my mother and father. My mother is a minister and the author of a book called "You Can Fly."

My father is an extremely hard worker. I wanted to help them out because I'm tired of seeing them struggle.

I asked God to help me in this time of need and he sent me to this website.

Soldier on...
by: Anonymous

I hope this young couple gets the help. They're young, just getting started in life and he is one of our men defending our country.

It's all over Facebook of different stuff about being helpful toward our men and women of the armed forces. SO I sure hope someone comes through for them - God willing!!! God bless whoever does help them.

I understand. My stepson just got married Sunday the 18th,and they are also in a financial bind, also needing help. He's going to the Air Force when he gets out of school, and she is a Texas National Guard.

We are also reaching out for them. They need their own place now that they are married. They are having hard time finding work. But this is about these other young people, so hope you'll help them. Thanks. Mrs. Graves.
