Single Mother And Grandmother Seeks Grant Money For Safe And Positive Home

I was born deaf since birth in 1961. My parents made me go to "normal school" because "I am to act and live normal!"
I did my best not to fail while attending public schools where I was the first deaf child to attend there.
It was when I was in 8th grade before I got government help with my schooling.
I talk and act "like a hearing person with a foreign accent" people would say.
I had worked for the US Postal Service and was the 1st relief postmaster in USPS history! I opened the doors for all deaf people to have good opportunities in the US Post Office and government! Several who know me thank me for proving we deaf people are good workers!
I got assaulted in Virginia Beach in 2007. I am on disability for PTSD due to the violent, horrifying injuries and emotional injuries.
I cannot deal with any type of violence and angry outbursts. I have to take medicines for rest of my life to keep from having nightmares.
I need $6,000 to pay all the medical bills I owe so I can have good credit to get an apartment for my granddaughter Lily and me to live in.
My parents' conditions are getting worse. My mom is manic-depressive and my dad has a brain tumor. Lily and I mostly stay in our bedroom to avoid their outbursts and negative talking.
I wish I could have a safe home for us and have a phone too! Lily loves me and I want to give her all the best for a healthy upbringing! I love her so much!
Please help us! My income is $910 a month for disability. I have no car. I just want a home near a shopping center so we can walk there and get groceries and baby diapers. Live simply and safe is all I want for us!
