Single Father Seeks Government Housing Grant Money To Repair Mobile Home

Hello, my name is Ricky. I am a single father of an 11-year-old boy. I have been caring for my son on my own since he was barely under a year old.

His mother is disabled, addicted to drugs and has absolutely nothing to do with him.

My son is flourishing, academically and emotionally. Unfortunately the one area we are not doing well in is financial.

We are currently living in a mobile home with weak floors and a broken air conditioner, which poses a problem in the Louisiana summer.

I am trying to find government or private funding to help with the purchase of a new home for myself and my growing child.
