Single Father Of Three Year Old Daughter Seeks Grant Money For Debt Relief

Last Christmas. Few Toys, Much Love.
I had a good-paying job making $67,000 a year and had a wife that had her own law office. Now I'm looking for grant money for debt relief.
My wife had problems getting pregnant. Finally it happened and it was the best day of my life.
After my little girl was born I lost my job along with nine others. I have been to the VEC employment to try to get money. They give me the run around.
I went to social security and applied for everything they offered. I was lucky and got food stamps and meds for my kid. They helped and paid for part of my gas bill.
My wife had fed charges brought against her. She was sent away for five and a half years for doing what her boss asked her to do before she started her own law firm.
To defend her we hired a lawyer. They wanted $60,000. All we could come up with was $30,000. We cashed in everything we had, gold, rings, 401K… everything you can think of.
I have been trying to keep up with bills. I pay one and the other gets cut off. My family and friends had been sending what little money they could at first, but that has pretty much stopped.
I'm at the breaking point. Banks or other agencies will not help. It's funny. I used to put my paycheck in the bank and have a 401K.
They took my money, then got into trouble and got bailed out by the government. But do they help people like me? No! It's my three-year-old girl that helps keep me going.
I need money to get bills caught up. That would make it much easier to find a job and not spend most of my time trying to find money or selling something in my house or beg to pay some cut off notice.
Get this… I put in an app at Burger King and I'm overqualified. What is that? I can flip a burger. Please help. I don't know how much longer I can hang on. Sincerely, David Cardwell.
