Registered Nurses Seek Nonprofit Grant For Respectful Assisted Living Facility

My dream is to open an assisted living facility (ALF) where residents will be cared for with dignity and respect.
I'm a 28-year-old female registered nurse working in a busy Emergency Department/Trauma Center. I've been doing this for the past five years.
I will be graduating in May 2012 from Seton Hall University with my Masters of Science in Nursing/Adult Nurse Practitioner degree.
I'm married with no children.
As an experienced nurse I'm able to see and understand the difficulties that patients have as they begin to enter their older years. The inability to completely care for oneself can be depressing.
I desire to open a small private assisted living facility where residents will feel at home, maintain as much independence as possible, have social interactions and to be treated with respect.
I would like to make this residence accessible for those older adults who are handicapped.
I currently do not have a lot of savings. Over the past five years I have contributed to my 401(k), which I will be cashing out in order to pay for the initial costs for the assisted living facility.
I want to provide competitive yet affordable rates for residence. I want to provide the best care possible; these residents will be treated like family.
I will be responsible for keeping up with all of their medical needs. Funds are limited and many rules and regulations exist for this type of business.
I currently work more than full time hours.
I'm looking for financial assistance to make a 6-7 bedroom home handicap accessible to code for my residents.
It would be a small assisted living facility in a private residential home. Residents will be cared for appropriately:
Assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, etc.)
Dining program that includes three meals a day
Educational activities
Exercise activities
Health services and medication administration
Organized recreational activities
Personal and/or nonpersonal laundry services
Social services and religious activities
Transportation arrangements for doctor appointments
Wellness programs
24-hour CNAs
Registered Nurses and myself as a Nurse Practitioner will provide health screenings and monitor medical conditions.
My theme is "To maintain independence and dignity with aging."
Costs will be comparable to ALFs in the area as well as affordable for residents. I will register with the Medicaid Assistive Care Services.
I and another registered nurse with 10 years experience will be the owners and managers. The idea is to provide care in the most appropriate way unlike what we have seen in our clinical experiences.
