New Nonprofit Needs Government Grants To Deliver Care To Elderly And Disabled

We are a new 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to serve our poor frail elderly and the disabled who cannot help themselves or get the proper help because they do not have the needed finances or transportation.

There are already agencies that provide community care services, but the elderly and the disabled who need them can't get the services they're entitled to for two reasons.

One reason is that they simply don't know that the services exist. The other reason is that if they do know about them, they don't have the transportation needed to get to the agency.

Some of our elderly have fallen through the cracks of the system because they can't get the right support. Our elderly are also living in poor conditions that are not fit to live in. Some of them are living in a non-safe environment where they can harm themselves in their homes.

Our organization is here to support them by being their advocate and seeing to it that all their needs are being met. We serve them as a companion also in doing and taking care of their personal needs of daily living. We help them to feel wanted in the society and not rejected because of their age and lifestyle.

There is a great need for vans to take them to the grocery stores, to their doctor's appointments, to do their personal shopping and certain events.

We are here to bring back their self-worth, so this is why we need to follow up in getting the right and proper grants for transportation. Thank you for your help.
