National Guard Veteran Seeks $240 Grant Money To Return Home To Hawaii

During holiday leave before I was injured
I joined the army national guard with the help of my stepmom in August of 2009. I loved the fun I was having during basic training.
But after returning from block leave during Christmas time, I was injured. While marching, I slipped on ice and injured my back, hip, and knee.
I was medically released and sent back to my stepmom's since that is where I joined up because she was helping me.
Unfortunately this is not my true home. I was only here to get in with her help. Now I want to go back home to where I was living in Kalihi, Hawaii.
I don't have the funds to go home on, and because my stepmom is unable to help me further I am now sitting in a homeless shelter waiting for my VA paperwork to go through.
But I want to go back home and transfer my case to the VA hospital there. Because of my injuries I am unable to do the work I used to. So I want to go back home and get back into school and be more than just a disabled vet who has no home or job.
I am only looking for help to go back home. I can get the help to go to the coastal states by bus. But I cannot get the money for the flight home.
I can get to LAX airport for $119 with the help I have now. But I just don't have the $240 for the flight with Hawaiian airlines.
I asked the VA but no funds can be used for flight purchases.... only buses. Will someone help me?
