Mother With Cerebral Palsy Disabled Daughter Seeks Aid To Make Ends Meet

by Marife Coronel Versoza
(Antipolo City, Philippines)

Let me share a bit of my life with you. My husband and I have been married for 13 years and we have three children.

My eldest is Christine, who was 12 years old last February 4, 2010. The second is a boy, John Christian Versoza, who will be 10 this coming April 2, 2010 and my youngest girl will be turning 8 this coming June 24, 2010.

My elder daughter was born with cerebral palsy. She's still on milk and diapers after 12 years.

We lover her dearly, but we're suffering financial hardship servicing her special needs.

My husband is a simple driver, who has worked for the company for the last four years, and does not earn enough.

If anyone can offer advice we would be very appreciative. Thank you.

Support & Courage
by: Katina Woodruff

Hi there,

Thank you for posting your story! I have been reading stories on Accessible.org for a few weeks now, and when I came across yours my heart did a dance. How beautiful your little angel is. And, how strong you are to be posting your story.

It was hard, but through support from others, we made it. Some harder events came later that I'll leave out of this particular comment. I just wanted you to know, what a truly special woman you are, you have a beautiful daughter, one that will read the story you wrote and thank you.
