Mobility Scooters And Scooter Carrier Grant

Disabled Veteran Wanting To Stay Mobile

Disabled Veteran Wanting To Stay Mobile

I'm writing for help in getting a mobility scooters and scooter carrier grant. After many conversations with doctors in the VA, I finally received a brand new Rascal scooter that allows me to go to many businesses.

But I have one major problem. My car cannot hall this scooter because it cannot handle a class 3 trailer hitch which, would allow me to carry the scooter to places that I could use it at. I would really like the vehicle to be able to store the scooter inside to prevent theft.

I am upside down with my car and feel like there is no solution for me. I am writing this today upon some friends advice to see if I can get some relief from my four walls. I am a disabled veteran with a bad back, diabetes, and a stroke.

I have looked at used vans set up for handicaps that start at about $25,000 and pray that I can find help acquiring one. I appreciate your time and consideration in my quest for a mobility scooters and scooter carrier grant.

I have been told that if you're a disabled vet with a scooter from the VA then you get all equipment that goes with it. Check this out. Mine has been preauthorized but I have yet to recieve it. I'm told I get lifts and everything to go with it.
