Lyme Disabled US Navy Veteran Seeks Grant Money For Dog Cage Business

I was medically retired at the young age of 39. Most who hear that often say, "Wow, you're lucky." But what is the rest of the story?
After serving in the US Navy, ET2SS, (1990) I began working in nuclear power. Soon after, I obtained a Reactor Operator License from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (1994).
I worked for a total of 15 years before being taken out of work, as REM sleep onset was faster than most, (< 30 Sec).
On December 20, 2005, my work doctor called me at home for a private chat and told me he was not going to allow me to return to work, not even to mow the lawn, much less return to a nuclear reactor responsibility.
My last three years at work consisted of working, then going home to bed to rest until the next scheduled day. Playing football with my boys did not happen.
Changing tires, brakes, mowing lawn, all were tasks that my dad did teach me, but that I was not able to physically do any more.
The last 18 months, it was nothing but work, bed, doctor appointment, testing, .... Then, don't come to work again.
I knew something was making me sick, but of all testing, the doctor's view of me was that nothing was wrong, in my mind, fit as an athlete. None could diagnose the problem, so I was left to being my best advocate.
After leaving work, SSD commenced at six months. The insurance company canceled medical insurance. I asked for work retirement disability, and 22 months later, I'm still waiting for them to determine disability retirement.
My faithful company ignored me calling each week, until I threatened legal action.
Overall this was changing my income from $148,000 to $24,000. My wife left our marriage relationship after only three months. At 12 months, she was out of state.
I lost everything: home, tools, cars, and kids. I finally returned to mommy's house where I was bedridden except for about 30 minutes a day.
But, I did prevail… by faith in myself and the only book that was not taken to NC with my ex-wife, the bible. Faith in GOD and knowing I have still something to give to others has me strive to go forward in all things in life.
Oh, I did have one thing that did stick with me, my dogs. I had to keep them. The ex did not want to even feed them. So, I fed them.
I have designed a cage system that is adaptive to many animals, easy to assemble or disassemble and will last more than the lifetime of an animal.
Have you ever tried to cage a Rottweiler, Pit Bull or other strong determined breed? Well, this cage is what you cannot live without, and it's so universal. Cages like this will save thousands on normal care of animal cages.
I desire to manufacture these cages as a business. I need to go to school to learn financial, merchandising and marketing skills for this idea.
I have done much in the past three years, but as of late, Lyme disease treatment will either kill me, or make me a better person.
Medical premiums, co-pays, and time for treatment, leaves raising new children with a new wife very difficult at best.
I desire to purchase a home with land, where cages can be built, and that my children can gain vital teachings in the similitude, which I received from my parents.
Such cages have no bolts, tools, or hinges, and their application is unlimited. What is limited is my ability to raise funding for factory setup, payroll, permits, inventory, etc.
Being truthful in all things: SSD, limitations to earnings, Lyme arthritis spreading throughout my joints, how much can a person like me do it on his own?
I will need to schedule right knee replacement surgery before 2011. I can still get out of bed and feed my Rotties.
Working closely with my dogs has kept me alive, although that is why I contracted Lyme disease. Practice makes perfect. I have picked out five rural acres with a house on the main State Route.
I am a father that would like to bring my boys up working to know the principles of hard work, an entrepreneurial attitude, and general love toward his children and their future.
