Low Income Housing Grant For Blind Renal Transplant College Woman

by Elizabeth
(Upland, CA, USA)

I'm 21 years old and homeless, but temporarily living with my boyfriend and other friends at this time. I'm currently going to college.

I am a renal transplant of 13 years now, and have medications to buy and appointments to keep up with.

I am also visually impaired. I've been legally blind for eight years now and have asked for the least amount of help from the government.

I am permanently handicapped and would love the opportunity to be an independent American.

I am homeless and have just been put on EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) so I will be collecting food stamps.

But I have no place to live and would like assistance with living income so I can continue my schooling and pay for my medical bills.

I have applied for disability and have been denied. I am appealing the process and my case is still active.

As of December 7th I have been placed on food stamps. I am homeless.

I have worked and have been discharged from my last employer after only working for a month off of what was only commission, to now find they are giving me a hard time with collecting all my earnings.

Employers have found it hard to work with me because of my disability. They find I am too slow of a worker. They cannot or do not accommodate my special needs. Then they terminate me from the positions I obtain.

I would like grant money for low income living. I would just like to have a roof over my head where I could sleep, shower, do homework and make my own meals with food bought with food stamps.
