Lillian Seeks Government Grant For Mentally Disabled Recovery Program

I wish to start a program here in Stockton, California that will allow the mentally ill the chance to be creative and increase their chances of recovery.

I will have available for them art materials, assistance with writing a book or poems, meetings for those who wish to play music, craft materials, and assistance with anyone doing something creative to improve their depression.

I am going to see if I can use facilities that are available at the mental health center in San Joaquin County located in Stockton.

I would assist the consumers by researching on the Internet with them when necessary.

I would purchase materials needed locally and inquire with local business about donations towards my Creativity Group for Disabled Mentally Consumers.

I will hold special events to display the consumers' work, allow the public the opportunity to hear anyone that wishes to be heard for those in music or writing.

My program would be a non-profit program.

Are there any grants available for this type organization? Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Lillian Smith, Power "N" Support Team.
