Housing Grant For Brain Damaged Disabled Man And Wife With Severe Depression

by Tracy Gilmore
(Phenix City, Alabama, USA)

Tracy & Lisa Gilmore

Tracy & Lisa Gilmore

I am 38 years old, male, married to my wife Lisa. She has four kids. She has one younger brother. I have two sisters and four brothers.

I have mental brain damage. I was born with MBD. I also have been in a serious motorcycle accident and a car accident. I have a switching in my brain that I will have to live with for the rest of my life.

I have been on disability all my life and I am on medications everyday to control my high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, and seizures.

I have a lot of debt that I need to pay off with the local electric companies, water companies, and gas company because my younger brother name Bobby ran up my monthly bills and refused to pay his share while he was living with me.

I feel he took advantage of my disability that I receive each month because I have a Georgia ID and I am not able to drive a motor vehicle because of my mental brain damage to get to where I need to go.

I get my medications through Prescription Solutions through the mail. I do not need any special equipment for my mental brain damage yet in my life.

I have been having severe leg pain in my right knee and leg and I have low back pain.

I need to see a dentist and an oral surgeon to have all my teeth pulled out, and get dentures in the near future.

My wife also has a lot of debt too with the local electric companies, water companies and gas companies in NC, AL and GA.

She has applied for disability, but hasn't been approved yet by the Social Security Administration.

She has high blood pressure, severe depression and ADHD. She does take medication for her ADHD and severe depression.

I draw SSDI in the amount of $786 a month from the Social Security Administration by the 3rd of each month.

I attend the Church Of The Living God, Jesus Christ, Apostolics, Inc. My pastor's name is Mrs. Annie L. Brunson. The church is located in Columbus, Georgia.

I am looking for a grant to help me buy a nice house I found for sale in Columbus, Georgia from a individual owner and pay off all my debt so my credit score will be over 600 so I can purchase this nice house I found for me and my wife.

I found this nice 3-bedroom/2-bathroom house in Columbus, Georgia that is located on Union St. The owner is selling it for $65,000 and he is willing to do if my credit score was over 600.

This house has granite kitchen countertops, brand new wooden floors, a brand new central ac/heating unit installed, with a fenced in front and back yard and a burglar alarm system.

We both are almost 40 years old, and I would really love it if my wife and I could pay this house off and become homeowners for the first time in our lives.

My Heart Aches for You.
by: Jerry Boone

My dear friends,

I would like to offer $50 per month to help you out if you so desire. I wish it could be more. If there is a way of getting your address to me or telephone we can make arrangements as to how you can receive the $50.

Housing grants
by: Ken

Hi Tracy and Lisa,
I think you will be very hard pressed to try to get a housing grant because of your SSDI and your wife's possible SSI. I know it's not a nice thing to do, but maybe you should take your brother to small claims court if he ever agreed to pay for some of the bills. Another thing you could do is call the utility companies, explain your situation and come up with some type of payment schedule, reduced amount or a deferral of payments. If you try to avoid them, they will hand it into collection, then that would create a worse credit score. If you have anything to sell, do it. If you have a credit card in good standing you could use that to pay the utilities, if you can get the go ahead with the purchase of your home, otherwise don't use the card.
Good luck,
Ken
