Hearing Disabled 37 Year Old Man Seeks Grant Money For New Work Life

by Wayne Robinson
(Lewisville, TX, USA)

My name is Wayne Robinson. I’ve worked hard labor and commercial driving jobs since I was 18.

I am now 37 and will be receiving Social Security next month. I recently suffered sensorineural profound hearing loss in both ears and am legally deaf.

I have a cochlear implant that has allowed me to regain partial hearing in one ear. I have taken some certification classes (A+, Net+, and CCNA) but can’t get a job due to my disability.

I have lost my house, insurance, and can't work in anything I have experience in. Without work experience, tier one jobs are all I qualify for and I can’t hear on the phone.

My goal is to go to technical school for retraining (ITT), a bachelor’s degree and experience in Internet security services, re-enter the workforce, and get off of 'The System" and taxpayer money.

This will allow me to by-pass tier one jobs and work full time to take care of my family. Please advise…
