Government Grant Money Needed For Dental Work And Caregiver Relief

by Louise Orndorff
(Hammond, IN, USA)

My name is Louise and I am 57 years old. I live in Hammond, IN and I am looking for government grant money to help me get dental work done and caregiver relief.

I have 13 teeth left in my mouth. I have no means of any kind to go to a dentist. I get so embarrassed to talk to people. I try so hard to keep my teeth from being shown.

It is so hard to handle the feeling I get when I notice someone just looking at my mouth during or after I talk. It is difficult to eat and embarrassing to have teeth bad and missing.

My husband has had two heart attacks and one stroke. He is diabetic and has congestive heart failure and lung disease. I make sure he has all of his medicines.

He has difficulty getting around and difficulty getting in and out of the shower. He does have a walker and a motorized chair.

I drive him to all of his doctor appointments. I prepare all meals, do all the laundry and do all the general housework. I have to do all the grocery shopping as well.

I live with my husband and son. They both receive S.S.I. checks and we get food stamps. I am unable to work because I am needed at home to help my husband, who has a lot of health problems.

I also take care of my 33-year-old son that is "special." I am unable to get any type of medical or dental insurance since I have no income.

I am looking for government grant money so I can go and get the rest of my teeth pulled and some teeth put in my mouth.

I am also looking for caregiver relief funding. The State of Indiana does not offer any kind of funding for caregiver relief.

I need an income to take care of my personal needs. Any help I could possibly get would be greatly appreciated.

Are you able to work? I work full time and care for my elderly mother. I have two grandchildren that I am raising as well.
