Family Seeks Government Housing Grant For Healthy Home Environment

My name is Carrie Carrington. I'm 33 years old and I live in Marin, Tennessee. I have a little girl, eight years old. Her name is Stormi. My husband is Michael.
We have recently had to move from our house in Gleason, Tennessee, because our house is very old and is falling down. We have lived there for seven years.
With the move, we had to put most of our stuff in storage because all we could find to move into on our budget was a $175 trailer.
The house has no foundation. We have replaced floors over the years. We recently had to tear the back part of the house off due to mold and rotten wood caused by a roof leak.
My husband works 12 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week and then some weeks he only gets 40 hours.
I'm not going to say money isn't a problem because it is. We get caught up then we get back behind on our bills.
My daughter and I stayed in the house more than my husband and we became sick quite often so we have doctor bills.
She has insurance but I don't and if you go to your local health department for assistance they want to schedule you an appointment for two days later.
I guess what I'm asking is just for a little help to get our house back livable so we can go home.
No we're not disabled and no we might not be as poor as some folk, but we are humans and living from check to check just to make ends meet.
We're hard-working Americans and we might have some money on equity on the house but every time I try to go and talk to someone about it they just give me the runaround.
My husband tried to get a loan through his 401K but they say now you have to go through the IRS. I just don't know what to do any more. We just want to be home.
