Disabled Woman In Sixties Seeks Grant Money Help For Housing And Vehicle

by Judith Van Arsdale
(Columbus, Indiana, USA)

I am a disabled female in my early 60s with diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD, and congestive heart disease.

I have recently lost my husband of 48 years due to a brain-hemorrhaging stroke.

I'm now struggling to make ends meet with all the expenses I have plus the cost of the funeral and medical bills.

I am asking for someone to please assist me so I don't have to worry about how I am going to be able to pay for my next meals until the time I pass.

My home is also in need of major repairs and my vehicle is running on its last leg.

I have stressed for too long on these issues I need help for the sake of my health and well-being.

Housing help in Indiana
by: Katina

Congratulations on making the effort to submit your story to Accessible.org.

With the publication of your story, you are now well on your way to:

1. Getting your story known to a wide audience that could help you.

2. Getting your story polished up and presentable so you can submit it elsewhere, including the White House.

As a disabled person myself, I can sympathize with your situation and I definitely understand your need for help.

I've done a bit of research and found these resources for you:

Hud Housing Program Indiana
http://portal.hud.gov/portal/page/portal/HUD/states/indiana

NRCSHHM
National Resource Center on
Supportive Housing and Home Modification
http://www.usc.edu/dept/gero/nrcshhm/directory/

Please let us know if the resources have helped you in anyway.
