Disabled Wife And Veteran Husband Seek Government Grant To Avoid Foreclosure
by Pamela
(Hardy, VA, USA)
My husband and I are in desperate need of a government grant to help us financially. We are just moments away from foreclosure on our home.
I am disabled due to a ruptured disc and arthritis. I have degenerative disc disease among other ailments. My husband was an over-the-road truck driver for the past 30 years.
He had quadruple bypass surgery in July of 2009. The doctors informed him his health was so bad he could never go back to that type of work again.
For the past six months we have been living off of my social security. We don't have enough left to pay the mortgage and our doctor bills.
He has no insurance. He has since been fighting the social security administration to pass his claim to avoid our home going into foreclosure.
My husband was in the United States Air Force for 4-1/2 years. He has also been fighting the VA for his disability when he was injured while in Korea for the past few years.
Time is running out for us as if we lose our home we have nowhere to go and will become homeless. A government grant to get us back on our feet and prevent us from losing our home will be greatly appreciated.
