Disabled Vietnam Veteran Seeks Housing Grant Money To Repair Leaks

by Vietnam Vet
(USA)

I am a disabled veteran. I am 62 years old and like many I am struggling financially. I need grant money to help out.

I was shot a couple of times and had one of my fingers blown off, and I spent almost a year in the hospital after the war.

My family thinks that I am in the early stages of dementia and I sometimes think they are right. I am getting ready to go through a series of tests to find out.

The reason I am requesting a grant is to get a new roof for my home because it leaks. Another problem that I wanted to get a grant for is to replace my carpet.

As humiliating as it is I need to replace my carpet because I have had many accidents all over the house with using the bathroom. At times I don't know that I am using the bathroom. My wife is so frustrated with me but I can't help it.

Some help would really be appreciated. I don't want to make my story long and drawn out I just wanted to get straight to the point.

Help on the way

Every VA clinic has a vet rep and or social services counselor. They get paid to do things to help vets like you and others.
