Disabled Vietnam Era Veteran Seeks Government Grant In Place Of VA Disability

About 20 years ago, I broke the law in Florida. I went to prison and served my sentence, but the original warrants were still in the computer system.
The VA, specifically the Pension Management Center in St. Paul Minnesota found about the existence of these warrants, which had expired in 1997 due to time limitations.
The VA decided that I was a fugitive felon fleeing from prosecution and therefore ineligible to continue receiving disability pension payments from the VA.
I argued that I had already served my time, and these warrants didn't amount to a hill of beans! Well in their somewhat obscured vision/opinion, just the very fact that the warrants were in the Florida court system constituted enough grounds to stop my benefit payments.
I have gone to great personal expense and had those warrants dismissed. I have submitted the pertinent court documents attesting that the warrants are indeed dismissed, but that doesn't seem to matter to the VA. They have stopped my benefit payments effective this month.
I have no money to pay rent, utilities or buy food, let alone operate my small accounting business. A federal government grant would help me get back on my feet financially, and help remove some of the stress I am suffering.
I am a homebound, disabled Vietnam era veteran. My disability rating is 60%. Please contact me with your comments here.
