Disabled Veteran Seeking Government Housing Grant For Family Peace Of Mind

I am a 30% disabled veteran that served for my full contractual term in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division.

While serving, I sustained multiple injuries from providing my country with over 31 nighttime airborne operations during peacetime.

I have appealed other injuries I am not compensated for due to my service. I do currently have a great job with AT&T, but I am now having trouble working due to injuries.

I have been on disability from work from service related injuries as well as non-service related injuries. I work as much overtime as I can to provide for my family, but my body is now starting to break down even more.

I would like to be able to provide a home for my family, but I have been irresponsible with my money in the past and I am now, with my injuries, having trouble keeping up with and eliminating my debt.

I am now renting a home in Arkansas and I am the sole provider of my wife and children. My problems are that my knees give out randomly, my lower back is always in pain, my shoulders are extremely sensitive and painful, as well as my ankles.

My job now requires me to carry an 85-pound ladder on my shoulder to and from my work area, as well as, walking quite a bit throughout the day.

A government grant could help my family and me with buying land and building a home so that my family would know no matter what happens, if I could not work due to service and non-service-related injuries, they would always have a roof over their head and a warm bed to sleep in.
