Disabled Veteran Seeking A Government Disability Grant

I have become so depressed because every doctor tells me that there is nothing they can do to help me with this pain that I just have to live with it. I am writing now to ask for a government disability grant because I am not able to work and my income is limited. Being a veteran who is disabled, I get help on my rent but it is not enough because they go by my gross income before I pay alimony. When I got divorced they granted her alimony knowing that I was disabled and unable to work. When I was 29 years old I was working on an oil rig and fell, injuring three disks in my neck. One disk disintegrated, and I had to get two disks fused. I had many surgeries since then which has created too much scar tissue that they say they can no longer fix. I was supposed to get workman’s comp for the rest of my life but some how they got out of paying it after a couple of years. Some days I feel like I can no longer keep going. The pain is too much for me to handle. I am sick of feeling depressed and worrying about how I am going to pay next months rent. My daughter has done some research and found a doctor that might be able to help me, but what can I do when I don’t even have enough money to have a place to live in, or have a vehicle to get there. I know there are people far worse off than I am, but maybe once I find that there is hope out there then I can help others find it too. I would be very appreciative of the financial assistance or government grant to help me with a place to live. I am hoping that once I get help with that I will be able to afford to see some specialists to help me with this pain.
