Disabled Man Seeks Monthly Salary Through US Government Aid Program

by Zaid Ali Huraibi
(Sana'a, Yemen)

I wish to express my respects to President Obama as the first man giving clear credibility to freedom and justice in the United States.

My name is Zaid Ali Huraibi. I am a man in my forties, with a disability in the lower limbs since childhood. I am married with five sons and daughters. To this day, I've never received a real salary.

I live my life over my wheelchair. I have worked and I am still working as a volunteer for the benefit of persons with disabilities.

I worked in the trade, but workers ripped me off. The police did not return anything to me, because of widespread corruption in my country. The Court did not do justice to the right of debtors because of the bribery of the trial judge.

I am now in a position where I cannot pay for eating and drinking, treatment and payment of water bills, electricity, telephone, school fees and the Institute.

Assistance from my brothers and sisters provides for a quarter of my basic needs. Now I ask for monthly assistance from the Government of United States of America.

If Edeimp broadcast to the world that disabled people have received millions each year, then why we are still the poorest of the poor? After all the hype, it's still getting worse day after day.

Please save us with a monthly salary, to help us deal with prices rising every day. Greetings and all my respects to you. Zaid Ali Huraibi.

I understand, but...

If you want a monthly salary, that would mean higher taxes on everyone else, which leaves everyone else with less money, essentially making them poor as well. I do understand where you are coming from, but if you could not even take care of yourself was it necessary to have children?
