Disabled Man Seeks Government Housing Grant Money To Purchase Home
by Greg
(Statesville, NC, USA)
My name is Greg. I'm a 37-year-old disabled retired senior corrections officer. I have been diagnosed with a cyst and a tumor on my brain.
This ailment will be a lifelong situation, due to the fact that both are inside the brain and attached to the brain as well.
In 2001, I was advised by the neurosurgeon that I had 9 months to live. I replied to the neurosurgeon, that he didn't control my destiny, God does. At that time, I got down on my knees and prayed for God to heal me.
In 2007, my wife, our 2 kids and I were homeless for the entire year. We all slept in our car during that time.
My wife and I had to take our kids to the local shopping mall for the lighting for our kids to do their homework for school.
At that time, we would pray as a family to Jesus Christ each and every day to bless us with a home.
From then till early 2008, we were blessed to be able to stay with some friends and on October 31, 2008, we received a call from the local realty company that asked us if we had found somewhere to live. My reply was "no."
He stated that he had a home that we could live in for free until we were financially able to afford the home without a security deposit. From then till now, we still reside here.
I am physically disabled and in need of $70,000, or as much as I am blessed with, to purchase the home from the realtor.
I need these funds as soon as possible so that we are not evicted. I pray that you can help. Greg Cooper, Statesville, NC 28625.
