Disabled Man Seeks Government Grant To Support Family
by Bryan Hall

The family I want to support.
On April 28th, 2008 I was working a 2nd job as a waiter because the car business was slow and I wasn't making enough money to support my family.
I had my toe crushed which led to 53 surgeries and a severe infection of MRSA which ultimately led to the replacement of my femoral artery and amputation above the knee of my right leg.
More recently I was diagnosed with a herniated disk and mild arthritis in my lower back. Every job I have ever had required substantial walking and heavy lifting.
I now find myself in the position where I can no longer support my kids and do not qualify for a job that I have any background or experience in.
I would like to attend college in order to obtain a career that does not have any limitations to the duties I can perform.
My family has suffered for two years and I would like the cycle to change. I am a highly motivated individual with above average intelligence.
I feel if I get the proper training, I could be an asset to the community. I simply wish to be the provider I was before my accident.
Although my body will never fully recover from the injuries it has sustained, my mind is fully functional and craving knowledge I cannot afford at this time.
I just need help. I do not collect unemployment or food stamps because I do not want to contribute to the burden currently plaguing our society.
Any assistance, government grant or otherwise, would be appreciated.
