Disabled Man Seeks Government Grant Money For Exceptional Stepdaughter

by Crissann Novis
(Plymouth, PA, USA)

I am trying to secure money for my 12-year-old stepdaughter to buy her a computer so she can continue to excel in school.

Her mother abandoned her and her father has had numerous incarcerations and his current whereabouts are unknown. Both natural parents have chemical dependency issues.

The child currently resides with her paternal grandmother, who is disabled. I continue to be a positive influence in her life. I am also on full disability with brain function problems.

Being on disability categorizes our family as very-low to low income. Having the money to purchase a substantial item, such as, a computer is near impossible.

Having a computer for school seems to have become an essential tool to succeed in school. My stepdaughter is an exceptional student and person. She has persevered in countless family problems, yet still seems to have a desire to do well.

She has missed out on many things due to family finances. Her father even stole from her to support his drug habit.

I am asking for money to buy a functioning computer system, it doesn't even need to be new.

If you looked into the eyes of this child, like I do, you will see her spark. My deepest desire is to provide this child with every opportunity to rise above the lifestyle she was born into.

Thank you for your time and attention to my situation. Any help or direction would be extremely appreciated. Please help this child to become the adult she deserves to be.
