Disabled Husband With Wife Seeks Housing Grant For First Home Buy

Life Before Disability
My wife and I have been looking to buy our first home. Since I'm disabled, we're looking for a government housing grant to help us financially.
The hardship that we fell into when I became disabled and found out that I could no longer be able to go back to work was devastating!
Everything that I was doing to support my wife suddenly came to a crash. Now she is a full-time employee at a hospital.
In the situation that we are in, the income she makes is now what we live on. I receive SSI, but they took most of it off of me because we are just over the limit to get the State Part of my SSI.
We live off of what she makes from her job and my $300 a month check from the Government.
We have settled in a reasonable rental house. After a long period of time, we get a call from the landlord saying that we have to move out because her daughter is moving back to town and she is giving her the house, as well as giving us a month and a half to get out.
Now we are on the hunt for a house, but it's almost impossible in the time frame. Now we have nowhere to go, and been looking ever since we found out.
The only ray of hope that we have now is that we were pre-approved for a home loan but will need help to start fixing up the only place we found that would be possible for us to go and call home!!!
Thanks for letting me vent, but we still have faith even after everything we have gone and going through!! God Bless.
