Disabled Father Seeks Government Housing Grant For Accessible Home

I have been injured since 1997 when a snow blower at work fell on me. Every since then I have been fighting for benefits and support from the company with no luck. After two back surgeries, and multiple appointments, I have been given a wheelchair to use, but the house we are currently living in is not suitable for wheelchairs. The doors are too narrow, and the kitchen is small; I cannot turn myself around. The home was built in the 1920s, and the tub is too tall for me to get in and out without struggling. We are currently on subsidized housing, and from where we are right now, there is no way of getting ourselves into a wheelchair accessible home. Even though I am supporting the four of us on $600 a month, I know I have people that care, and they would do anything for me. My wife is a substitute teacher during the school year, and she is also completing her degree in which she will graduate in 2012. It is difficult to support all of us, and my family has to do without things, but I know through all our prayers that the Lord will see us through, just like he has been. I am writing to see if anyone would help me in getting a wheelchair accessible home, so my wife and older daughter will not have to lift the wheelchair up and down the stairs in the front. They both have medical problems and this does not help them either. We would greatly appreciate any help, and if there is no help, please just pray for us to get through these hard times.
