Disabled Bipolar Mother Of MMR Daughter Seeks Government School Grant

by Susan
(Kentucky, USA)

My name is Susan. I am 43 years old. I am going back to school to learn. I'm taking Psychology classes. I am disabled and draw $846 a month in Disability.

I want to further my education, but financial burdens are a problem for me.

I am married, and my husband doesn't work right now. He is sick and has been denied for medical help and SSI.

I am raising a 23-year-old handicapped daughter. She is MMR (mildly mentally retarded), and has mental illness issues. She is mentally challenged.

I'm disabled for a few reasons. I was a CNA and got hurt, and ended up having to get back surgery.

I have nerve damage, scars, and it will never get better, only worse. I stay in pain every day. I also am bipolar, and have anxiety issues.

I am trying to find some kind of help for college funding, or help to make our lives better. I worked all my life, raised three kids by myself.

My first husband was very abusive, but we got through it. I feel like I've earned any kind of help I can get for my family and me.

Hello Susan. I myself have been on the Internet trying to find a grant. I have similar problems. I'm 51 years old and my 16 year old has disabilities living on nothing is very familiar to me as you.

Can you help me? How did you know how to write this or did you just go for it. I have bipolar problems and other mental problems I feel confident that I can make a better life if I'm going toward a goal, like finishing high school.
