Disabled Accountant Seeking Business Grant Money To Earn A Living

As a disabled accountant, my life has not been easy, to say the least. I've had a triple heart bypass, and an aortic graft four years later. I've also been plagued with bipolar disorder for nearly forty years.

I was not diagnosed with bipolar disorder until I was in my thirties, after attending college at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. I majored in accounting and carried a 3.4 grade point average, and received my Associate Degree in Accounting in December 1970.

After my wife and I decided to move to Houston, Texas in early 1971, to get away from the brutal cold winters in Cleveland, I enrolled at the University of Houston, to study for my Bachelor's in Business Administration, all the while working full time and attending night school.

It was during these years that I discovered that I was having trouble concentrating and could not relax, and enjoy myself any longer. So my wife made an appointment with a psychiatrist, who diagnosed my condition.

With medication and counseling, I starting discovering things about myself that I was not aware of before. Rather than bore you with any more details, I was heading down a road on a wild roller coaster ride, and somewhere along the way my wife jumped off, and I found myself living alone after 18 years of marriage.

To give you an example of my wild ride, I was not able to keep a job after discovering my condition. In a ten-year period, I actually had 41 different jobs, which can be verified by social security records.

The medications that I was given is on a trial and error basis, and finally a couple of them worked after experimenting for three years, so then I calmed down and could concentrate on keeping a job. But the damage was done, and my life has never been the same since.

After going to truck driving school and starting a new career, I was able to support myself somewhat. I lost my accounting license, so I could no longer work in my chosen profession.

I muddled my way through the last 20 years as a cross-country trucker, and actually owned my own rigs for a while. I hired a driver and ran two trucks, grossing over a quarter of a million dollars a year.

I have always been a high achiever, no matter what I did. During part of my work experience, I worked as a car and truck salesman, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Now I have my sights set on owning my own used car business.

Based on previous endeavors, I know that I will master this business and make a very good living at it. So I need a grubstake. Some money to get me started. Will someone put up some funds for me?

I know how to fix broken cars, and I can tear an engine down, fix it, and put it back together again. You name it and I have done it. I don't know how to fix an automatic transmission. So I would have to send it out and get it done.

This is my quest: to secure funding for this operation. As a degreed accountant, I know the dollar and cents, and the bottom line, and it will be in the black, if I have anything to do with it. I will make money for my investors.
