Disabled 51-Year-Old Woman Seeks Grant Money For Medical Expenses

by Shari Garrison
(Diana,Texas, USA)

I am 51 years old. I wear leg braces and use a walker. My thumbs are also affected.

A little over seven years ago I was happy working as I've done since I was 15. I have no money and I can't work any longer.

I draw a little disability check but my youngest son lets me live with him.

I have what is known as PLS or primary lateral sclerosis. It affects me like MS and ALS. I am in severe pain constantly.

I just need money to help me pay my doctor, my medicine and just for living. I spent $12 for a new pair of tennis shoes and I know that is going to cut me short on gas.

Please help me. I worked the majority of my life and I would be working now if this hadn't occurred.

I asked the doctor if somehow did I do this to myself and he assured me that no I didn't. I quit smoking and I do not drink.

I don't like to ask for help but I do need it. Thank you for your time.
