Diabetes Disabled Woman Seeks Housing Grant Money To Repair Apartment

Hello, my name is Denise. Sixteen years ago I was hit with diabetes and crippling arthritis.
With the assistance of a cane I tried to keep working. Shortly after that I was permanently laid off my job.
I had a mortgage and I eventually lost my home through a foreclosure scam. Two months after losing my job, my home I lost my father and a brother.
Having no place to call my own I put the few belonging I had into storage. They stayed in storage for five years and upon getting them out I discovered that many of my belongings were missing.
I've tried to recoup the things I've lost with no success. I am desperately in need of a mobile chair and a mini van with a lift that I can go out and once again regain my independence.
I got involved with a medical doctor who refused to give me a prescription to obtain this chair. So as of this day I am limited as to where I can go.
I would like to fix up the apartment that I am in but I am financially unable to do so. I desperately need a new mattress and a bed.
I am not writing this story to get sympathy, but I'd like to know is there help for someone like myself out there.
I am 56 years old and I would still like to do things with my life. I don't want my life to be over yet. I'm just trying to get a little extra financial help.
