Concerned Aunt Seeks Grant Money For Muscular Dystrophy Disabled Nephew

by Tammy Hewitt
(Indianaplis, Indiana, USA)

My nephew is 25 years old. He has muscular dystrophy and can only crawl. He can't talk or walk at all. He only crawls throughout the trailer and plays peek-a-boo.

He has never been granted any kind of wish and has never been helped by anyone except his mom and aunts and uncles.

He is such a loveable young man and loves to be around people but I think he deserves more.

His mother, Shelly, works her butt off so Nick can have a special bed, high-chair, or any other item he needs for everyday needs.

The trailer that Nick and his mother live in is not handicap accessible and when anyone takes him anywhere he has to be lifted up into the car.

I would love to see them get help any way, financial, items for him to use that would help him get around, or anything that is just needed.

He is on Medicare but the items that he needs are so much that Shelly has to pay at least half. His bed was $10,000, of which Shelly had to pay $7,500.

This is so hard on his mom but if she could get some help she sure would appreciate it and so would the whole family. Thank you for your time and may God bless.
