Caregiver Wife Seeks Government Housing Grant For MS Disabled Husband

He had very little in his 401k because the first railroad he worked for wouldn't offer him a retirement plan and didn't pay into railroad retirement. So we went through his 401k before he was approved for railroad disability. I lost my part-time job two months after he stopped working. I got a job about five months later and worked for about 18 months. My job demanded me to be on my feet with no breaks and with a lot of heavy lifting. My energy was already very taxed from getting up several times during the night to assist my husband. I have health problems of my own now due to this, which go unattended due to no health insurance. Meanwhile my husband who is six foot four went from 167 lb to 150 lb in 18 month. Since I have been staying at home due to not working he now weighs 160 lb. We could use a government grant so we could get a place to live that is accommodating to his disability. We are currently renting my sister's RV for $200 a month. We don't want to live in a drug-infested government-run subsidized housing project. It is really difficult for him to do everyday things that we all take for granted in such a small living space. We have sold most of our belongings to help us pay our bills. Why are there funds available to have someone come into my home and get paid very well to do what I can do with one exception, I do it with love. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
