Blind Food Service Man Seeks Business Grant For Quality Restaurant

by AMJ
(Pennsylvania, USA)

I'm a blind American living in the State of Pennsylvania who has been educated in the Food Service Industry.

Although now totally blind, I have had eyesight up to the age of 26.

I've been a worker in the Food Service Industry since I was a young teenager up to now; I've been a bus boy, dishwasher, server and general manager.

My vision is to open my own restaurant of a higher quality, and to surround my establishment with well experienced, detail-oriented and trustworthy individuals.

Certification in business management, general operations, serving and Serve Safe membership and techniques are a few staples of my background.

I would like to employ my establishment with a mixture of disabled persons and non–disabled workers alike.

I have contacts and mentors who currently operate various establishments throughout the State of Pennsylvania, under a State controlled and ridiculed program.

My vision is much different; I intend to take my education, training and genuine experience to create a totally blind owned and operated establishment with real earning capability.

In contrast, I wish to give back to the blind community abroad through my own mentorship, employment and speaking engagements to both non–profit blind organizations and State-run organizations.

My "New Life Restaurant and Grill" will feature American favorites, Kosher and non–kosher meals, vegetarian delights, deserts, and all with a down home personality and feel.

Hard work and dedication are the ingredients to success. A little luck doesn't hurt. I'm prepared and ready to be a successful restaurant owner and Blind business leader nationwide with "New Life Restaurant and Grill" meals you can feel.

As a less fortunate disabled American my income is dependent on Social Security and month-to-month hardships are normality in my life.

As a father of two young teenagers I'm trying to provide a better life for my family through my establishment.

I would like to become a better father, mentor, and provider to my children like any other God-fearing man.

With a business grant I can have the ability to begin to reach my dreams. Thanks for reading my story.
