Bipolar Female Seeking A Government Disability Grant
by Mary Lou
(Santa Clara, CA, USA)
I'm a 45-year-old bipolar female seeking a government disability grant. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with being bipolar, having Hepatitis C, and suffering Tendonitis throughout my body.
In September of 2009 I am starting treatment for Hepatitis C, which I am told will make me very ill. Long story short, I am on Social Security Disability. I receive $973 per month.
I am somewhat homeless, meaning I stay here and there at friends' houses. However I feel I am starting to overstay my welcome with my two small dogs.
I am divorced and I have three boys who miss being able to spend the night with me.
On top of all that, I also need some serious dental work.
I have applied at various low income housing programs. However, the 1-3 years waiting list is tough. I need to fix my 1986 mustang so it can pass smog, and then I need to get car insurance, I don't feel right or safe driving without insurance.
My car is my sole means of transportation. I can't afford the chance of it being towed for no insurance. Whatever amount of grant would be for down payment on a small studio apartment, my car insurance, and dental work, perhaps some new clothes.
This is all I really have prayed for. I don't want to be rich. I'm just a bipolar female seeking a government disability grant to be able to take care of life's basic needs, and abide by the California State Laws. God Bless.
