Aneurysm Disabled Man Seeks Grant To Regain Productive Life

by Chris Baird
(Mound, MN, USA)

Better days are yet to come...

Better days are yet to come...

My name is Chris Baird. I suffered an aneurysm 22 years ago and have been paralyzed on my right side ever since.

When I was hospitalized, I was in a coma for 30 days and was blind for nine months. I then regained my eyesight after receiving seven operations. I then had to learn how to walk, talk, chew and eventually write.

I was in the hospital for one year. It took seven years for that process to get me where I am today. Although I can walk and talk, and so on, the everyday functions are difficult. But I manage.

I met a woman and was dating her for 2-½ years until we got married. After we were married for two years I suffered the aneurysm.

We stayed married for eight years and she took pretty good care of me until she turned into a raving alcoholic at which time I just had to leave due to her alcoholism.

After about a year I met a young lady and we started to date. About a year later, we got married. Within eight days of us getting married, my mother passed away leaving me a substantial amount of money in her will.

After I was married we had a child about one year later. Life was great and complete. I had a beautiful daughter and a loving wife as well as a very nice home.

We had been married for five years when I started to suspect my wife was cheating on me. Once I confirmed the facts it threw me into a tailspin and I had a nervous breakdown.

I went to the hospital for nine days to be evaluated. I was released and within three days I had to go back to the hospital as my heart was broken and I could not take it anymore.

I was released 14 days later and when I went home everything in the house was gone. I found out that she had declared me incompetent and cleaned out the bank account of about half a million dollars.

My wife was in charge of all the bill paying and to my surprise she had not been paying the house payment, car payment, credit cards etc.

These events left me homeless, without a car and penniless. It has been four years since this all took place and I am now living in a one-bedroom government HUD apartment.

I have minimal furniture, a car that I can barely keep running and little to no means to support myself as I have problems getting around or getting a job.

I am looking into getting a grant so I can get back on my feet and become a productive member of society.

Will the Truth Stand Up?
by: Anonymous

Wow! I am the second wife of this gentleman and am amazed to read this story! There are a few accurate parts:

1. His name is Chris Baird.
2. He did have an aneurysm 22 years ago.
3. He did have two wives, and actually two daughters.

The rest is fiction, but good comedy and almost convincing!!! Take it all with a grain of salt.
