Aging Disabled Veteran Seeks Grant Money To Avoid Homelessness

I am a 57-year-old male. I have worked as a BBQ pit master for the past 4-1/2 years at a private club.
When I'm not cooking, I do a little handy man work. After the recession hit, business went south, and my hours went from 40 plus hours to less than 15.
I had good credit built up but then lost my vehicle, and my credit went bad.
To make matters worse, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. The condition has since got worse, and I am no longer able to do handyman work or stay on my feet for more than 20 minutes at a time.
I have been prescribed medicine but still have pain. I have to use a cane from time to time, and I don't have insurance.
I don't have any other skills and cannot afford to go to school. I would like to work but am unable to find work, even enough to make ends meet.
I am at the end of my rope and don't know what else to do. I can't afford to file for bankruptcy. I guess I can live on the streets and file for SS at age 62.
