65 Year Old Disabled Former Nurse Seeks Grant Money For Motorized Scooter

by BJ
(Santa Fe, NM, USA)

My Former Self

My Former Self

I am a 65-year-old medically retired former nurse practitioner who was injured through the negligence of others at work.

I now have two irreparable knees and shoulders. My mobility has finally gotten to the point of needing a motorized scooter.

My health plan limits me to a Chinese-made model that can't be used outside. Outside is where I need it most for safety and mobility.

I have tried to sell this useless model without result.

By September I need a pride wrangler model so that I can continue to enjoy a once a year only trip to Estes Park, Colorado to see friends.

This trip provides needed relief from the monotony of physical therapy and chronic pain relief measures as my only daily activities.

To accomplish this acquisition, I will need $6000 for the scooter and lift device.
