53 Year Old Disabled Woman Seeks Government Grant For Home Repairs

by Linda Bailey
(Baxley, Georgia, USA)

I'm 52 years old. I've had two strokes and three heart attacks since 1988 and am now in a wheelchair.

I need a grant to help me catch up on my bills and do repairs on my house and my husband's car.

I can't use my front door because the front porch is not safe and the ramp in front is rotten. It needs windows and you can see the outside of the house looking at the floors.

We live on a very small income. My husband has filed for disability on his back and has been appealing their decisions.

We have tried everything possible to get help to get these things done. This is our last hope. If we can't get help here, I'll end up in a nursing home and I do not want that.

Please help.
