52 Year Old Lupus Disabled Woman Seeks Grant Money For Debt Relief

by Joanne
(New York, USA)

I am 52 years old, a lupus patient, on Social Security Disability. I work part-time because I have to.

I'm in the process of a divorce and have a son living with me that is in college.

In 2009, my soon to be ex-husband just walked out on me. I was very ill at the time. I did not know how I was going to pay the bills because he had always done this.

When I got my income tax return I was able to pay some bills. Also, I was getting spousal support until my soon to be ex got sick himself, (Ironic, isn't it).

I am always behind in my bills and I need my teeth fixed very badly.

I have lupus. I was diagnosed in 2002. I have good days and bad days.

It has affected my kidneys, and I'm now losing my kidney function and nothing can be done about it.

I just had my third biopsy. I also was taking chemotherapy for it.

I am on a lot of medication and am always at the doctor.

Although I am collecting Social Security Disability and working part-time, I am still behind in my bills. I am always at least one month behind in my rent.

My family tries to help out when they can, but I still can't keep up.

I need to see a dentist so very badly. My teeth are constantly breaking because of the Lupus.

I am looking for money to pay up my bills, dental work. A vacation would be nice too.
