50-Year-Old Hard-Working Female Badly Needing Government Grant Money

I'm a 50-year-old hard-working female really needing a government housing or transportation grant.
I was run over by a car trailer with a car on it in 2006. Since then I have gotten CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) and I live my life in constant pain.
I used to be able to work three jobs, have food for my family and support my home. Now I am lucky if I can walk to the bathroom. According to the laws here in Michigan I don't have a legal case against the driver.
With jobs in Michigan gone, I have my children living with me, and no one can get hired or get a job. Michigan Works doesn't have enough space or jobs.
We are trying to live and pay the bills from 1000 a month. Consumers Energy is charging me 1500.00 a month for electric and I have had a work order in place since March 2008. And they have sent no one to check the problem.
I need repairs done to my home so that I can try to hold onto the only thing that I have left, so that my family will not be homeless.
My truck is on its last leg. My daughter uses it to get to school. Now it needs a muffler to avoid the police issuing a fix-it ticket at the cost of $500, which I cannot afford. She cannot afford not to make it to school.
My son has been out of work since November 2008. He needs to be certified in order to get a job, but we can't afford the $3000 for classes or certificate fees.
We are only allowed $120 to feed three people from FIA for a month. Winter is coming. I will have to confine myself to bed to keep warm, since I can't afford to move to a warmer climate. I'm not looking forward to the pain.
I need a government housing or transportation grant really really bad. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
