49 Year Old Disabled Mom Seeks Government Grant For Self And Daughter

by Donna
(Jonesborough, Tennessee, USA)

I am a 49-year-old disabled woman with an 18-year-old disabled daughter. I'm looking for a government grant or equivalent help.

I was married 20 years and he came in one evening told me he was tired of being married to a sick woman and just left us both totally alone.

I lost my home, my furnishings, and to eat I had to sell what I had left.

I am currently in a house with my 84-year-old mom and my daughter and I are smothering, we just need a break.

I have been trying for months to get financial aid for my daughter to get some type of further education so she can live on her own some day.

I currently have only my disability coming in for myself. I'm at the end of my rope. I don't know where to turn.

I was raised in a Christian home and do not believe in begging but I am hungry, need a home, and need a life for my daughter.

If anyone could help us it would be a miracle from God. I just want a break here. I'm responsible, clean, and very caring and will do my part to help myself as well.

I am not on government assistance and do not want to go there as I am trying to teach my daughter to be on her own and to work for what she wants.

I just need help desperately. Whether it's a government grant or just anything to help, it would be so appreciated.
